Assam CEE 2026 Notification – Apply Online for B.Tech Admission
Assam CEE 2026 i.e Combined Entrance Examimination is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) for admission into B.Tech courses in government engineering colleges of Assam. This exam is mandatory for candidates who want to pursue engineering in Assam for the academic session 2026–27.

1.Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. They must clear both theory and practical exams without grace marks.
Minimum Marks Required:
- General Category: 45% aggregate
- Reserved Category: 40% aggregate
Alternative Eligibility:
2. Candidates with 3-years Diploma in Engineering & Technology under State Council for Technical Education, Assam, with 45% (40% for reserved category) marks in the Final Diploma Examination
3.Or Passed B.Sc. from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed HSC (i.e., 10+2 or equivalent) examination with Mathematics as a main subject
Age Limit:
Minimum 17 years as on 31 December 2026. There is no upper age limit for this examination.
Other Criteria:
1. PRC: Candidates must also be permanent residents of Assam with valid PRC certificate..
2. Character & Fitness : The Candidate must have a good moral character. ( Character Certificate from the head of Institute last attended to be submitted). Also t he Candidate must be physically and mentally fit. (Medical Certificate from the Medical Officer / Medical Practitioner to be submitted.)
The Assam CEE 2026 application process is conducted entirely online. Candidates must ensure that all details are filled correctly as incorrect information may lead to rejection of the application.

- Click on “CEE 2026 Application Form”
- Register using valid email ID and mobile number
- Fill personal, educational, and communication details carefully
- Upload scanned photograph and signature in required format
- Pay application fee of ₹1500 through online payment gateway
- Submit the application form and download confirmation page
Candidates should keep a copy of the application form for future reference. No correction facility may be provided after submission, so all information must be verified before final submission.
The selection of candidates for Assam CEE 2026 is based entirely on performance in the entrance examination. There is no interview or additional stage involved in the selection process.
- The exam consists of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects
- A common merit list will be prepared based on total marks obtained
- In case of tie, Mathematics marks will be given first preference
- If tie still exists, Physics marks will be considered
- If required, Chemistry marks and date of birth will be used for final decision
After declaration of results, qualified candidates will be invited for counselling process. During counselling, candidates can select colleges and branches based on their rank and availability of seats in various participating colleges.

Negative Marking: 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer and each question is of 4 marks
